Warehouse: 225 x 415 x 28 Office: By others Oregon Food Bank is the distribution center for 781 food banks and other agencies in Oregon and Clark County, Washington. At the time of its completion in 2002, it was second in size only to that of New York City. The facility includes a 93,375 sq. ft. warehouse from Garco Building Systems and a 14,625 sq. ft. wood-framed office. A 12,500 sq. ft. cooler/ freezer occupies the middle of the warehouse and the building is surrounded by 21 loading docks. All four warehouse walls have 5-ft. high translucent panels which provide so much interior light that the manager commented, "I worked here for three days before I realized the lights weren't on." The warehouse exterior combines durable rough split CMU below with Lightstone RW wall panels above. Vertical Sandstone accent panels tie the color scheme together and help to break up the mass of the warehouse visually. The standing seam roof and canopies are Classic Green as are the roof and accent trims on the adjoining office building.
