Terra Blanca Vintners Benton City, Washington Builder: Winthrop Construction Owners: Keith & ReNae Pilgrim Size: 46 x 120 x 22 Terra Blanca Vintners' fermenta-tion and processing building was designed with 12" purlins and 10" girts on 30-ft. bays. This permitted 13 inches of insulation in the roof and 10 inches in the walls, result-ing in very high thermal stability. The 14 x 20 overhead sectional doors allow headroom for moving fermentation tanks into the build-ing. The sloped track follows the interior of the roof to provide crane clearance. The interior ceiling and walls are fully sheeted for total wash and clean. Underground barrel storage caves (by others) were being built at the same time the building was being erected, so access during construction was from one side only.
