Garco Building Systems The Company Founded in 1958, Garco has grown to become the largest steel building systems manufacturer in the Northwest United States and Western Canada. As a manufacturer of "blue-chip investment grade" buildings, Garco Building Systems has developed the concept of Maximum Building Value to define our approach to building. Maximum Building Value can be measured in many ways, beginning with quality. At Garco, quality means that each project receives the kind of attention that only the industry's best engineers, detailers and craftsmen can provide. The entire Garco organization encourages innovation and full service. From our client-driven design at the project's inception to our on-site erection expertise and our network of Authorized Builders, we will be a full-time player on your team. We're a partner, not just a vendor. Pioneering Technology for Maximum Efficiency and Flexibility Garco's leadership also extends to creating and utilizing the latest advancements in technology that will facilitate your project. We have pioneered world-class proprietary programs that deliver maximum design efficiency while maintaining full design flexibility. Use of the Internet, for instantaneous document and drawing transmittal, is a routine procedure linking owners, architects, engineers and field construction staff anywhere in the world. With Garco, you may be far from the office, but you're never far from your project team. Garco Quality is Independently Certified Throughout all of the innovation and flexibility, there is a continuing emphasis on high standards quality. Of more that 425 steel building manufacturers in the U.S. and Canada, only 30 subscribe to the standards of the Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA). Of this number, only 19 have been certified by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) through annual on-site quality audits. As would any professional organization, Garco was proud to be among the first of this group of manufacturers that met and exceeded these stringent quality requisites, proving year after year that quality, safety and innovation are the hallmarks of success and value. This commitment to excellence will continue with participation in the new IAS Ac472 certification program which is intended to replace the AISC MB certification program in 2008. Garco Building Systems is also certified under the CAN/CSA A660 certification program and listed by Underwriters Laboratories (UL). Additionally, our staff of professional engineers are registered in over 17 states in the USA and 3 western Canadian provinces and our welders are both AWS and CWB certified. Certified Training for Architects, Engineers, Students and Builders Garco's quality emphasis also includes a commitment to the future of the steel building industry. This forward-thinking attitude has given birth to continuing education and training programs developed and sponsored exclusively by Garco. In order to be competitive and to develop an ever widening base of professional skills, the architect and engineer require access to new technologies and information. To serve the needs of the design professional, Garco has become a certified provider of Continuing Educations Units (CEU's). Garco has also taken a leadership position in offering college students hands-on training and developing university-level academic programs to create opportunities for tomorrow and productive careers today. For our Authorized Builders, Garco has developed a regularly scheduled on-going training program to keep them and their customers on the leading edge of new products and technologies.
