Judges' Comments:
"This $10 million expansion of Plum Creek's medium density fiberboard plant took place over a twelve-month period of time during which the existing production facility continued in full operation. It included over 945 structural tons of steel and 20,000 cubic yards of concrete. The tallest section of the complex is 118 ft. and is comprised of a series of stacked built-up columns."

East Boulder Mine

"This 352 ft. long building is the mill concentrator for the only operating platinum mine in the United States. It has a 62 ft. eave height and includes numerous overhead and underhung cranes. The project, which was begun in March 2000 and completed ten months later, includes nearly 450 tons of structural steel from Garco Building Systems."

Lost Cabin Gas Plant

"The structure shown here is the compressor building for the Lost Cabin gas plant. It was installed over equipment already in place and later sheeted with explosion relief panels. It is one of five buildings shipped to the site, for a total of more than 600 tons of structural steel from Garco."
