Fabrication/Our Process
Once our valued client has approved the detail drawings of their soon-to-be quality steel building, these blueprints are then sent to the manufacturing facility.The fabrication plant obtains the building materials specific to the customized building design.The required components are cut out, in accordance with the lay out, on the plasma burn table guaranteeing accuracy down to the most finite of measurements.The components are assembled while the rafters and columns are manufactured on the pull-through line or gantry welder. Simultaneously, materials are formed into secondary framing members, roof and wall panels, trim and flashing.
We have increased our production capacity in order to meet your project needs. We have invested in pull thru line and gantry welder to increase productivity, but those investments mean nothing without dedicated craftspeople. That is what we have working with us. Our production crew is second to none. They take pride in getting a project done to perfection. “Measure twice, cut once” is their guiding principle. Every major project component goes through multiple checks for quality and accuracy, checks that are conducted by separate individuals.
Our facility and crew meet stringent certification criteria from several organizations. Our welders and other production craftspeople take part in regular training in order to stay current with the best practices of the industry. Staying at the top of their field is not easy, but these dedicated people wouldn't have it any other way.

Shortly after, Garco’s seasoned and certified team of welders proceed to tack, fit, finish and paint each individual member of the structure with care, precision and skill. Quality control check points are positioned throughout each phase of the delicate process. A final quality check is conducted before the materials are sent to the staging area to be loaded onto the trucks for transport and delivery to the job site. Once the materials have reached the building location, actual construction of the structure typically results in a more erector-friendly procedure assuring the client receives the promise of Maximum Building Value.
Garco Building Systems is in a unique position to offer you, the client, a customized and request-specific quality steel building because the fabrication stage utilizes two drastically different forms of manufacturing operation: the pull-through welder and the gantry welder. The pull-through welder is excellent when fabricating standard systems requiring minimal alteration. Use of the gantry welder is employed when the job is larger scale or more asymmetrical. Garco’s utilization of both processes results in a vastly superior product. |
